Kybella

Kybella® is an FDA-approved injection that uses a deoxycholic acid compound to damage fat cells clustered within the submental tissue. Once damaged, these fat cells – which are often difficult to shrink through diet and exercise alone – begin to be eliminated by the body, causing the area to become noticeably smaller. This is typically used to reduce the appearance of a double chin.

Temporary side effects may last for a few weeks after your Kybella® injection. Temporary side effects include; swelling, tenderness at the injection site, slight bruising, temporary hardness, numbness, and redness. As uncomfortable as the swelling might be, this reaction is from the deoxycholic acid working on fat cells under your chin.
